How to Use:

1. Prepare for Injection

– Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

– Inspect the Semuglutide pen to ensure it is not damaged and the liquid is clear and colorless.

– Attach a new needle to the pen if needed.

– Prime the pen by dialing the dose to 0.25 mg and pressing the button until a drop of liquid appears at the needle tip to ensure the pen is working.

2. Inject the Medication:

– Choose an injection site on your thigh, abdomen, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites to avoid skin irritation.

– Clean the injection area with an alcohol swab.

– Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle and press the button on the pen to inject the full dose.

– Hold the needle in place for at least 6 seconds to ensure the full dose is delivered.

3. After the Injection:

– Remove the needle and dispose of it in a sharps container.

– Replace the pen cap and store it in the refrigerator (do not freeze).

– You should administer Semiglutide once a week on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals.

Dosage and Administration:

– Starting Dose**: Typically, 0.25 mg once a week for the first 4 weeks.

– Maintenance Dose: After 4 weeks, the dose may be increased to 0.5 mg once a week, depending on your doctor’s recommendation.
